Now on its 3rd year, Tatt Awards remains to be inspired by the Filipino Youth’s amazing creativity, wit and command for the online social medium. Created to be a ground breaking avenue to discover online marvels, Tatt Awards, in its past 2 years, has given recognition to selected individuals with various platforms that made an impact may it be a blog, a viral video, new music, down to a trending hashtag. This year, it is all about young blood - those who share Tattoo’s fiery passion for greatness.

The power of social media has given each and everyone the ability to influence and move others. But as the old saying goes, “With GREAT POWER comes GREAT RESPONSIBILITY”; this is what separates the good netizens from the foul ones. Tatt Awards takes responsibility into recognizing and giving honor to those who are making a big move in the social media world to encourage goodness, integrity and excellence.
What are this year’s Categories
With 13 categories honoring those who made remarkable impact on the local social media landscape, the Tatt Awards shall search for the best of the best from the 17th of April until its main event on June 30, 2013 (the program period) through an exciting and innovative process of nominations, screening, judging and public voting.
Major category winners are set to receive a cash prize of 100,000 pesos while special award winners will receive 50,000 pesos.
MAJOR CATEGORIES
Blogger Phenom of the Year: The most influential blogger that shaped opinion, moved people, and ultimately starting fire in Philippine blogging community. This person is ahead of the pack in terms of online popularity and blog content.
Trending Twitter Phenom of the Year: The most influential trendsetter on Twitter that moved people either with humor, opinion, or witty one-liners - all in 140 characters. This person is ahead of the pack in terms of Twitter popularity and content.
Youtube Phenom of the Year: Moving pictures do not just speak a thousand words, they speak millions. This award is for the most influential video maker (individual or group) who shook the Pinoy Youtube space with his creations, ignited thoughts, and entertained people online.
Instagram Phenom of the Year: No other platform can claim to be the #1 Mobile App in the World but Instagram. This award is for that person or group that harnessed a community of Instagram followers and likers to appreciate his very own art gallery of images online. Filtered or not, his images have inspired and influenced many to share more of their lives - in pictures, real-time.
REGULAR CATEGORIES
Best Social Media Movement: This award goes to a social media account owner who launched an online movement which worked to improve the state of a societal cause in the Philippines.
Best Comedy on Youtube: Comedy online is best seen and heard. That’s why talented Pinoy comedians from all over the world have flocked to Youtube to show everyone that laughter is indeed the best pastime. Whether skits, catchy dance moves, or just plain story-telling, this award is for the funniest group or individual with one video or a collection of videos on Youtube featuring original content and humor.
Best Music on Youtube: This is for musical bands and indie artists who fought hard to claim their space in the hearts of the Filipino audience who knew that webtime is better than airtime. They created, shared, and now they lead people’s hearts through music on Youtube.
Best Style Blog: This is for that one person that not only reviewed fashion on his blog but also set trends that everyone followed and loved. This covers all Philippine fashion niches like clothes, events, and personalities.
Best Sports Blog or Microblog: Calling all sports fans, athletes, sports instructors or sports journalists - anyone who has the knack for sports is eligible. As long as you talk mostly about sports in any blog or microblog you have.
Best Tech Blog or Podcast: Informed, in tune and in check with the latest in tech, this person does not only present us with access to the latest in trends, but also the backstage of the fast pace world of e-knowledge. From ground breaking gear to life changing technology, this netizen is always in on the action. Whether a blogger or a podcaster, s/he is always on the forefront of all things tech-related in the Philippines.
Best Photo Blog or Microblog: If you’re a pro photographer or novice, it doesn’t matter; As long as your photos say more about you and your passion.
Best Travel or Food Blog: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And the first step to get this year’s Food and Travel Award is that this blogger has to have a good reputation in the food and travel blog world.
